Some of the movies in your list are already in my to-watch list, but you have convinced me to put The World to Come in there as well. Truth be told I'm skeptical about it, I know it doesn't have a good ending, plus yeah the whole 'another period movie?' thing, but the scene you chose to show really had me feeling interested. Another one is called "Fire", it takes place in conservative, traditional India. I love movies with history and different culture. They both have great endings as well. ... 6

@arlaabrell8658last year Good list, I'd like to add Celie and Sug in The Color Purple, when Sug kisses Celie and then Celie kisses her back and you know what's coming (that they never show of course) and Celie says "I don't know nothin' about it" and Sug smiles and says "I don't know much" - absolutely beautiful scene. Oh, and when Idgie says to Ruth "I'm about as settled as I'm ever gonna be" in Fried Green Tomatoes. Neither of those are openly lesbian movies, but they are two of the best IMO ... 2
