I have many broken RC cars at home with out remote control and I was intending to connect the H-bridge circuit of these cars to Atmega8 micro controller ,so instead of tracing the PCB to find the Base pin for transistors I just check the datasheet of RX2 IC and I found that pin 6,7,10,11 used for right ,left,forward and backward ,so you can just remove this RX2 IC and connect your micro controller output pin to these pins with 330 ohm resistor and controlling two small DC motor. Warning!!! Don't activate the forward and backward or right and left at the same time because you could damage the H-bridge circuit.
